Using a painted image and sculpture, Fabric takes an alternative approach to understanding a universal material. Sourced, produced, and consumed, this material is not only our clothes and sheets, it is also an industrialized product. Fabric dissects how this reality alters our understanding of fabric’s physicality. The material is expressed through multiple modes of representation and deconstruction including the material itself, models of the material via wire mesh, painted image of the material, fabric as clothing, and fibers.
